Design. Build. Inspire
Conditions
Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian-based and international Design & Build professionals. We encourage submissions from practices of all sizes, specializations, and locations. Whether you're a small boutique studio or a large, established firm, your work deserves to be seen and celebrated.
We're excited to welcome projects completed between 1 November 2023 and 30 November 2024. And with no limit on the number of awards programs or categories you can nominate for, you have the freedom to showcase your talent across multiple fields, as long as your project meets the eligibility criteria. Our portal makes it easy, too – with a simple duplicate function, you can quickly submit your project across various programs.
For two special categories – Sustainability and Innovation in Architecture Practice – entry is completely free. We do this because we believe in shining a light on the visionary ideas that have the power to transform the industry and inspire others.
International Nominations
The Design & Build Awards Program is excited to open its doors to outstanding talent from across the globe. We warmly invite nominations from international studios and visionary projects. If your architectural or interior design masterpiece transcends the marketplace criteria listed above, we encourage you to submit your work into the appropriate international categories within our program.
This is your chance to showcase your creativity on a global stage, where innovation knows no borders. Let your design inspire, captivate, and leave a lasting impact as we celebrate the finest in architectural excellence from every corner of the world.

This applies to all projects, including those cited in CVs submitted for the Emerging Architecture Practice category. Please note, the client’s name and the project address will remain confidential and will not be published. Specific project budget details will only be released if explicitly approved by the applicant.
If the applicant is not the principal of their practice, they must confirm they have obtained the principal’s authorization to enter the program and for any associated publicity.
The organizer does not claim any copyright or intellectual property rights over the designs submitted, beyond the permissions outlined below. By entering, the applicant agrees to release the organizer from any liability concerning confidentiality or intellectual property disputes that may arise from third parties.
The organizer reserves the right to exhibit or publish any or all entries. By participating in the awards, the applicant/owner grants the organizer permission to publish, exhibit, and promote the submission's content (excluding the client’s name, project address, and project budgets, unless approved by the applicant). This includes promotional use by award sponsors specifically related to their involvement in the awards. In all promotional activities, the organizer will make every effort to credit the design firm(s) involved and, where possible, acknowledge photographers. Finalists should be prepared to provide additional materials, such as photography, drawings, or other details, for exhibition or publication if requested. The applicant acknowledges that the organizer has the right to reproduce submitted materials in whole or in part without the need for additional payment or licensing fees to the copyright holder.
